because this was supposed to be the end, literally. infact, some of the facto things got changed because it didnt match up with continuing the story

Either this ending is the canon universe of GT or this time skip end of Z was retcon because of the beginning event of Super. I'm a bit confused on this and have been since GT. This resonates with GT universe and I'm mainly convinced because of the forewarning that the Elder Kaioshin spoke of when discussing the trivial usage of the dragon balls.

edit; Turns out it's still up in the air since there's a whole 15 year time lapse from the beginning of Super to the beginning of GT...................... still too many contradictions

yes it was both. GT was declared noncanon (just like broly movies, etc) and super became the true next chapter, but with the recent retcons, multiverse and timeline branches there's a strong blurred line to the real story. For me at least. But the foreshadowing from z to gt couldve just been one of those things where toriyama forgets like he did with saiyan tails, anthropomorphic races and ranchi
